Copilot aka Pie is the most amazing 16yr old 16.2h bay BRANDED HANOVERIAN gelding.
Lifetime registered in the USEF and the USHJA with lots of show miles all the way up to the 1.25!
Pie is best suited for the 3’6” and below riders. This is his happy place and where he will take you to the win!
Currently being ridden by a 13yr old 4’11 rider. She has shown him successfully from the 2’3” up to the meters. She comfortably schools him at home 3’-3’3”. This is not your average quirky warmblood. He takes zero prep! He can sit for weeks. And you can tootle him around bareback and trail ride him!! He’s also got auto lead changes!!
WESTERN EXPERIENCE: Pie will happily pack the western saddle around and trail ride with the best of them. He has the nicest slow canter and he even neck reins!!
DISPOSITION: Pie gives the meaning to “in your pocket”. He’s always in your business and ready to get loved on! He absolutely adores people. He will leave friends or food just to get muzzle kisses!! Pie has the most laid back way about him you could easily teach even the timid “up down” lessons on him! We’ve let several beginner and inexperienced riders hack him around. He will even ride at night under the lights and shadows! Good around cows, dogs, cats and even a pestering goat!
UPKEEP: This will surely be your favorite part! Pie eats two flakes of alfalfa twice a day. THATS IT! No supplements, no fancy grain.. just good hay keeps him fat as a tick! Pie requires absolutely no maintenance to keep him sound! We do keep him in shoes all the way around as a personal preference to give him support for the job we are asking him to perform.
TURNOUT: Pie is super friendly and easy to get along with in the pasture. Has been turned out with mares and geldings without any fuss.
BAD HABITS/ VICES: Pie has no nasty habits like buck, rear, bolt, bite or kick.
Pie does like to turn around and walk out of a trailer if it is a step up.
Pie also prefers to be on the rail when riding in heavy traffic at the horse shows.
TACK: Pie rides English, western and bareback. He’s been easily ridden in halters, snaffles, a D with a port and a hackamore!
