Maverick is the total package! Handsome, athletic, with an excellent mind and calm disposition he will excel wherever he goes. He loves attention and has a puppy dog personality. His willing easy-going attitude makes him a delightful riding partner.

He has outstanding breeding with a pedigree that includes Smart Chic Olena, Doc Olena, and Quanah O Lena to name a few. He would excel in the arena as a show prospect should you want to go that direction.

Maverick was raised on a ranch in Montana before he joined our program. We have focused on making him a finished trail horse. We have exposed him to everything we can think of. He has participated in trail rides all over the southeast. He has also been used in our lesson program. He doesn’t mind children jumping and running all around him and is very accustomed to trail riding with our dogs jumping in and out of the brush.

He never spooks and confidently handles traffic and vehicles of all kinds. He loves to swim and play in water. You can throw a rope off him, have your friends ride along on their side by side or bicycle, or bring along your pack of dogs. He won’t mind a bit. Our children ages 4-10 have all enjoyed him and he adjusts his riding to suit their needs.

Under saddle he has a good walk and can go slow with the quarter horses or step out and cover ground with the gaited crowd. He has a soft slow jog-trot, and a ground covering ranch trot. He has a smooth canter. He will ride english or western.

He is easy to trailer, stall, pick up feet, and groom. With his friendly personality he follows you around in the pasture. He is good for fly spray, farrier, vet, bathing, and tacking up.

Maverick is ready to graduate from our program and find a lifetime riding partner of his own. We are happy to arrange transport and answer any questions.
