“TRASHTOTREASURECASH” aka “Treasure” is a 6 year old, 15hh registered APHA gelding that truly lives up to his name as being a “treasure”. Pictures do not do this guy justice, he is BREATH TAKING in person! Treasure is “Mr. Personality” and the type of horse that would rather follow you in the house than be with the herd! He is the biggest love bug and will always leave a smile on your face! Not only is Treasure beautiful with a personality to match, but he is also extremely intelligent and very well educated under saddle! He is the most charming, kind, honest, fun, reliable and safe partner to have!
In the arena, Treasure is very well balanced, his gaits are comfortable and his transitions are smooth. Treasure moves off seat and leg, but also listens to voices cues too! He rides English, western and bareback. As fancy as Treasure is, of course he comes with some buttons! He drops his head and will lope around collectively on a loose rein, he has a big stop and knows the word “woah”, he will back up, turn on his haunches, side pass and do a little spin! He is a BLAST to ride! Treasure is ready to hit the show ring and would really excel in the ranch riding classes, trail challenges or would be a beautiful western dressage horse!
On the trails, Treasure is brave, willing, confident and super laid back! Not much rattles this guy! He crosses over logs, bridges, creeks and will ride up and down steep terrain! He is traffic safe and unbothered by scary objects like bikes, tractors, heavy equipment, SXSs, ATVs, horse drawn carriages, etc! He is not buddy or barn sour and can ride out alone or with a group and is happy anywhere in the pack!
At home, Treasure is a really easy keeper on a simple forage based diet. He requires no maintenance or supplements, and can live inside or outside. He never complains as long as he’s getting love and attention! Treasure is polite with wonderful ground manners and is very well mannered for the vet, farrier and dentist! He loads and travels great and always stands tied quietly and patiently at new places! Treasure is good for all the normal barn tasks including bathing, clipping, grooming and tacking up. I never have to worry about who handles this gelding in the barn as I trust he is going to be good for kids and beginners! He has that “old soul” vibe to him and really loves being around people and children. Everyone who meets Treasure falls in love, he is truly one of a kind! Remember, wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure!
