"Hillbilly is an adorable little Dun Gelding with the most unique eyes. One is completely blue the other is half blue half hazel. He is kid tested and grandparents approved. He has been rode by all ages. He is a been there done that type. He is the perfect size of 14 hands tall. Not too big not too small! He is just right!!!
He is the perfect smooth ride. If you have back or hip issues and need a comfortable ride this is him. He is a short stout made horse that has plenty of foot and bone. Hillbilly is trail riders dream horse. He is a true gentleman to be around on the ground. He is a perfectly well mannered gelding. He stands tied at the trailer, stands for farrier, vet, and bathes well. He stalls well, and enjoys turn out time. He gets along with other horse well. He's is very brave and takes everything you expose him to in stride.
Hillbilly does ride English and has been over the jumps. He would make an excellent 4-h or youth horse to show. So you can ride him western or English. He is happy either way.
Hillbilly will cross whatever you come to on the trails.. creeks, bridges, deadfall, wildlife, rocky terrain. We have been through all kinds terrain, had him around gunfire, tarps, city lights, city traffic, and cattle, all of which he has handled very well. He is very light in the mouth. He backs up with ease. He rides out alone just fine. Not at all buddy sour or herd soured.
We have used him to check our cattle and fence lines. He likes working cattle and being around them. We have took him on many mountain rides and overnight camping trips. He is a seasoned real deal trail horse. We have let the kids ride him through town. Absolutely nothing fazes this guy. Not at all spooky or watchy. No bad habits at all. Absolutely no buck or silliness when riding him.
Hillbilly is a super easy keeper. Requires no maintenance of any kind. He can go barefoot or put shoes on him. You can stall him or turn him out. Doesn’t matter to him. He is easy. PLUS he sells 100% sounds with no health issues. If you have anymore questions about him feel free to call. We would love to visit with you about him. We can help you arrange shipping anywhere. He is up to date on all vaccinations, worming, had his teeth checked, feet trimmed. He is ready to go to his new home. "
