Tumbleweed is so unbelievably kind, soft eyed, straight to the point, no nonsense type of gelding. The kind that is reliable, steady, and seasoned. And he is right in the sweet prime spot of his life.
Tumbleweed has lived the real deal outdoor ranch life. He came off a ranch in south Texas where he spent his most of his life working for a living. He is a been there done that type because he has literally been there and done. He has been ridden across mountain ranges, hunted off of, and has packed gear through the great backcountry. He’s seasoned on week-long camping trips and knows how to travel big country with confidence and sure footedness. He crosses water, logs, bridges, brush, and terrain of every kind like he’s done it a thousand times—which he essentially has. Where most horses spook or hesitate around traffic, busy roads, trains, crowds of people, Tumbleweed doesn’t even blink an eye at it.
This gelding is as solid in town as he is on the trails. Ride him right down the street with cars buzzing past, trucks rolling by, and everyday commotion with confidence knowing he will not spook. He’s been down Main Street, through neighborhoods, and into busy areas without a single worry.
Tumbleweed has been around more cattle in his lifetime than you can imagine. He is a solid tried and true ranch horse. So if you want to rope or move your cattle around the ranch. Or let your kids learn to work cows and be safe while doing so. He is fun and easy to ride. That old fashioned broke type. You can ride him with a string around his neck. He is light and responsive. Neck reins perfectly like a broke one should. Absolutely does everything you ask him to do without hesitation. He is an in-your-pocket, meet-you-at-the-gate kind of gelding. He’s soft, gentle, and genuinely enjoys people. Saddle him after time off—he stays quiet and honest. Rides bareback. He rides in a halter, hackamore, or bit, it doesn’t matter to him. Even if you are a complete beginner you ride him and enjoy him.
Tumbleweed is a super easy keeper. Requires no maintenance of any kind. He can go bare foot or put shoes on him. You can stall him or turn him out. Doesn’t matter to him. He is easy.
