Holden A Dunit is a 2019, 14 hand, beautifully zebra striped dun gelding. He is by DC Reb that is by Be Aech Enterprise, a million dollar sire in the NRHA who is by imported lines from South Africa Squaw Leo. He is out of MC Lucky Lil Dun It, a mare that goes back to the NCHA Triple Crown Winner, AQHA hall of famer and $42 million dollar sire Smart Little Lena on the top and the $6 million dollar sire Hollywood Dun It on the bottom. His lineage speaks for itself when you first come to meet Shorty, as we call him, with his stocky build and kind eye. He has always been a horse that no matter how often he has been ridden or how little he has been used, he has always come out the same horse, each and every time. He has three awesome gaits and is one of those horses that you can ride for hours and hours and never get sore. He has a smooth jog, and that awesome rocking horse canter. He has been on lots of different trail, rides with different riders on his back and does not get bothered no matter where he is in the lineup, or what you may see on the trail. He has been pasture roped off and stands solid when holding a calf. He has a great neck rein and moves beautifully off your seat and legs. One thing that truly stands out with Shorty is his love for children. He melts with them and really takes care of them no matter what they want him to do. He will happily hop over a few jumps, go loping in the field, play games in the arena with, and stand still until they climb onto his back. He is easy to ride no matter the level of experience of the rider. He has been ridden English and bareback and bridleless, as well. He has been an easy horse to bring through our program as he takes everything in with ease. He loves attention and will come running when you call him in from the pasture. He has never caused any issues and in the two years he has been here, he has always been one of the favorites.
