Creed is the kind of gelding that catches your eye before you see him ride. Named after the men’s luxury cologne, he definitely lives up to his name.
Standing 15.1 hands and 8 years old, he is absolutely stunning with big dapples, striking amber eyes, and all the forelock, mane and tail you could ask for. He has a classy way of carrying himself, beautiful movement, and the kind of presence that gets him noticed wherever he goes. Tons of bone, foot, and solid confirmation.
Creed is more than just a pretty horse.
He has a great foundation in the arena and walks, trots and canters both directions, spins both ways, neck reins, breaks nicely at the poll and has a nice stop. He carries himself beautifully and has a classy, collected way of moving around.
His versatility is where he really stands out. Creed has been exposed to parades, flags, extensive trail riding, arena work, traffic, cattle, dogs and other livestock. He has drug cattle and has been steer stopped on, and with what he already knows, it wouldn’t take much to go on and make him a decent head horse.
He could very easily step into a ranch trail class/course with the foundation and exposure he already has. He’d make an eye catching flag horse, a useful ranch horse, or continue on with cattle and roping. Then turn around, drop your hand and take him down the trail on a loose rein. He has a genuinely chill walk and is the kind you can relax on and simply enjoy riding.
We’ve ridden Creed bridleless and bareback, and he has also been exposed to a mounting block.
He rides great in traffic and can be hauled out alone without any issues. He is not buddy sour and doesn’t need another horse there to do his job. He trailers well and stands quietly in the trailer without pawing. To elaborate, Creed has been ridden in the downtown Fort Worth Stockyards parade, as well as exposed to miles of trails, will cross logs, go through water, steep terrain, etc.
On the ground, Creed stands to be bathed, groomed, saddled, tied and handled. He is good to shoe and is sound, healthy and up to date on Coggins, deworming, shoeing and teeth floating. No bad habits.
There are horses that specialize in one job, and then there are horses like him.. the kind with enough foundation, exposure and versatility that you have options, or just simply owning an exceptional gelding that is just as gentle and easygoing as he is beautiful.
