Hübsche Appaloosastute, vielseitig einsetzbar

After careful consideration, I have decided to find a new home for my 8-year-old Appaloosa mare (no papers), Dreamy. 😊

Dreamy is a very people-oriented horse who enjoys working and learns quickly and enthusiastically. Due to a lengthy series of injuries (more details below), she has not been ridden for quite some time; I would describe her as being in a starting or lightly ridden state.

Dreamy is not suitable for beginners or inexperienced riders. She needs a handler who communicates clearly, provides her with confidence, and works with her regularly. When properly motivated and supported, she proves to be calm, reliable, and eager to work.

Regarding her health: In December 2023, Dreamy suffered a severe injury and underwent surgery on her right hock at the Tillysburg equine clinic. The operation has fully healed; according to the clinic, there may be a slightly increased risk of developing osteoarthritis in this joint. No other long-term damages are present. 

Following this major injury, she experienced a few additional, less serious injuries. At that time, she was kept in an open stable with a larger herd. After moving to a stable with a night box and turnout with a buddy during the day, the injury series has now ended. For the future, I recommend a small group turnout and preferably a stable with a night box.

Additionally, she has a mild summer eczema. In her current stable, she is symptom-free with regular cream application about twice a week. When she was kept in an open pasture, she was blanketed; she is easy to groom and handle with her eczema blanket. 

Dreamy is barefoot, though she has worn hoof boots outside the stable at times.
