Mack is a 10 year old, 16.2 hand Paint Draft gelding. This guy is absolute perfection, from his markings, to his color, to his build and to his confirmation. I think he is just picture perfect. A big puppy dog on the ground with that draft horse personality that people are in awe of. This horse is super sweet, quiet and just loves attention from whoever wants to give it. This guy is as wide as he is tall. If you want stout Mack is your guy. He’s the Mack truck in horse form. He can surely carry any size rider with no issues at all.
Mack is very well broke to rode. Rides English and western. Walks, trots and canters. He is like riding a sofa, his gaits are so smooth. You can honestly just sit there and enjoy the ride. Rides around on the buckle and isn’t looking to get anywhere fast but he also isn’t lazy to where you have to be constantly fighting or pushing him forward. If you have back problems hes your horse. This gelding is a great mover for a big horse and doesn’t move sloppy or trippy at all. He’ll lope right off from the walk and has a slow, short lope like a quarter horse. I have seen very few drafts lope like this horse. Has a nice soft mouth and rides around in a snaffle bit. Stands like a stone at the mounting block, moves off leg, knows and listens to all cues. Mack rides English and western equally as well and looks very good in both. He’s also willing to pop over cross rails and could jump bigger if that’s the direction you want to go. He’s a solid citizen in the arena and is good for any age, level and size rider. A true all arounder.
Out on the trails just point and shoot. Rides wherever you want to go and walks along on a nice loose rein. He is not buddy or barn sour at all. Will ride out alone or with a group. I think Mack could make a fox hunting a career that he would do well at and enjoy. He is not bothered by anything and he is happy with a nice level head and ears forward. Great in the fields, down the road or in the woods. He’s sure footed and confident.
On the ground his ground manners are impeccable. He is probably one of the best mannered big horses I’ve ever met. He is not pushy at all and will not take advantage of anyone, even a small child. He walks very nicely right by your side and is never lead with a chain. He is excellent to work around, lifts all his feet with no issue, is great in the stall and respects fencing that is not electrified. You can catch him in a 5 acre field by calling his name and is always the first one to greet you. Lives inside or out and can be alone or live with others, it makes no difference to him. He trailers, clips, ties, cross ties, is great to saddle and bridle and has no vices whatsoever. His ground manners are absolutely amazing and he’s extremely personable. A big mush of a horse to say the least.
Mack is the easiest keeper and stays fat breathing air. Requires zero maintenance or supplements. He has really nice hooves and is 100% sound in every way. This gelding sells with a new and clean pre purchase exam. He’s turnkey and ready to go to his new home. Whoever gets him will be in awe of him because he’s not only gorgeous, he’s a really nice horse that anyone can throughly enjoy having around to be their best friend and trustworthy riding partner. A horse for the whole family. He would also be a great addition to any mounted patrol or therapy program. He’s the size and the personality that both programs look for.
