Cali is a 6-year-old Appaloosa molly mule standing 13.0 hands tall and she is the total package wrapped in chrome. This little mule has been ranch seasoned and works weekly at the sale barn penning back cattle and loading trucks — she knows a full day’s work and shows up ready every single time. Gritty, honest, and all heart, she’ll stay with you from sunup to sundown without ever looking to quit. Out on the trails, Cali is bold and sure-footed. Steep hills, rough country, water crossings, bridges, and deadfall logs are just another day at the office. She rides soft and correct in the arena, walks, trots, and lopes nice circles, has a good stop, and backs up with ease. She’s been hauled to town, is traffic safe, and has even marched right down Exchange Avenue at the iconic Fort Worth Stockyards through heavy crowds, loud music, and nonstop commotion like a seasoned pro. She’s flag broke, will drag logs, track cattle, and has been started on the lead steer. Cali has even pulled a buggy and handled it with confidence. Easy to catch, stands tied, loads and unloads quietly, and you can saddle her up and step right on.
