Meet Benji, a charming 2019 dun BLM branded Mustang gelding standing a perfect 14 hands tall. He was gathered from the Eagle HMA in Nevada and is the epitome of cowboy cool! Benji has an impressive resume, having competed in the mustang makeover with his previous owner, who did a fantastic job training him. He’s participated in extreme trail challenges, showcasing his ability to navigate all sorts of obstacles with ease. He has been day worked on doing all the ranch chores including roping sick cattle outside, Benji is always up for the task. He’s been used to gather and load trucks at the sale barn, proving he’s as versatile as they come! With an extremely nice handle, Benji keeps his head low whether we’re in the arena, on the trails, or at the ranch. He has a quick, smooth walk that can cover ground when you need it. He’s been ridden to town countless times and doesn’t flinch at semi-trucks zooming by or heavy traffic. Benji is a joy to ride on trails, where his sure-footedness and keen awareness keep everyone safe. He’s seen miles and miles of diverse trails and thrives in rough country—it just comes naturally to him. Not only is he well-broke for trail rides, but he’s also ready to shine at ranch horse shows, especially in the mustang classes. In the arena, he walks, trots, and lopes circles with ease, demonstrating great transitions and a willingness to lope right out of your hand. Benji is super sweet and absolutely loves being loved on! He’s great with tarps and flags, and he’s even participated in local town parades. Recently, we’ve started pen roping calves on him, and he’s shown all the buttons and ability to become a standout breakaway horse.
