Carlos has been in our possession for four and a half years. Unfortunately, due to time constraints caused by studies and the arrival of a new family member, we have to part with him, which we do with a heavy heart. We originally acquired him with a pre-existing condition: a fracture in the left hind leg. Over the years, this has caused no issues; he has shown no lameness or other limitations. According to several veterinarians, the risk was highest during the initial years of training, but as previously mentioned, he has had no problems since. Carlos is a young, talented horse who enjoys working with his rider, is eager to learn, and needs a consistent handler. Therefore, he is not suitable for riding school use. Apart from regular vaccinations and dental care, he has never needed veterinary treatment. Once we decided to sell him, there was already significant interest. However, unexpectedly, he developed a slight lameness. During veterinary examination, two additional findings were unfortunately diagnosed. After one and a half weeks, Carlos was sound again and has been showing the same motivated attitude since. Nevertheless, it’s important to be aware that he carries a certain risk. He is probably no longer suitable for high-level competition. Despite this, Carlos is a horse that truly wants to work and should be supported in doing so. It would be a shame if he simply stood around with us. We still see him very well suited as a leisure horse. Our decision remains firm, as we simply cannot give him the time he deserves anymore. Our top priority is to find him a loving and suitable new home. If you are genuinely interested, we look forward to hearing from you. We are happy to discuss further details in person.
