DFN Spook Magnificent is a gorgeous 2018 APHA gelding sired by Spooks Delta Dude (Spooks Gotta Gun) and out of Magnificent Sting. His sire, Spooks Delta Dude is a proven cowhorse with numerous accomplishments to his name. His dam, Magnificent Sting is also a proven show horse with $25k+ in earnings herself. “Gunner” stands a thick 14.3 hands, this kind doesn’t come around very often! He wears a size one shoe and is a big bodied, full made horse with a ton of shape. You don’t find one this chromed up, well made, and with as much substance as he has very often. Gunner is just as amazing to ride as he is to look at. Truly the epitome of an “all around.” He is ready and willing for absolutely anything you throw at him. Gunner has been in a reining program at the start of his career and knows all the maneuvers well. He is truly push button and very enjoyable to ride. He has great spins, stops on a dime, effortless lead changes, and rides around on a loose rein. Gunner has had a full time job as a true ranch horse and knows what a full day’s work looks like. He has done all the ranch chores including branding, shipping, doctoring, gathering and sorting. Saddle him up weeks fresh on a cold morning and he rides off like you rode him yesterday. He is a true saint, kids of all ages have ridden him both inside the arena and on the ranch and trails and you won’t find one more patient or tolerant than Gunner. He is happy to go whatever speed he is asked of and has been a great confidence builder for the kids. He is the one we throw an inexperienced rider on when we know it will be rough country as he is very sure footed and attentive to where his feet are. It’s pretty tough not to fall in love with his personality! He will be the first one to meet you at the gate and follow you around like a dog wherever you go, yet still has great manners. Gunner is showing great promise as a switch ender rope horse. He is strong to the horn on the head side reads cattle well and is just plain easy to rope on. Heeling also comes natural to Gunner, he takes the jerk strong, stops well and is honest as the day is long. He reads cattle well making him easy to rope on and extremely useful when sorting on the ranch or in the arena. Gunner would also excel in ranch versatility classes with his extensive training and great mind. Gunner is TRULY the entire package with stunning looks, personality, training, talent, a great mind and of course the bloodlines that it takes to make a great one.
