🛵 Vespa (like a little cute smooth scooter) is a good honest all around trail horse!! She is the kind that is bombproof and safe for absolutely anyone to ride. She is kid tested and grandparents approved. She has been rode by ages 4 yrs old to 85 yrs old. She is a been there done that type. A true well seasoned horse with thousands of miles under her belt. She is the perfect size of 15 hands tall. Not too big not too small! And she is the perfect age of 12 yrs old. (Vet confirmed on age).
🛵Vespa is a spotted saddle bred horse (gaited horse). If you don’t know about the breed I encourage you to look them up. It’s not a prancy or hyper gait. Not quick. It’s a natural more laid back gentle gait. She will walk or kick her up to her gait. She will go both slow or fast in her gait as well. All the time on a loose rein. You don’t have to fight her or constantly pull her back. You just set the speed to your liking. She is super easy to get gaiting but as soon as you are done she will drop right back down into a walk. It’s kinda of liking putting your car on curse control. She will do the rest. She is a super smoooooth ride!!!! And oh so easy and fun. If you have back or hip issues and need a comfortable ride this is her. Vespa is trail riders dream horse. She is a true lady to be around on the ground. She absolutely loves the kids. She is a very well mannered girl. She stands tied at the trailer, stands for farrier, vet, and bathes well. She stalls well, and enjoys turn out time. She gets along with other horses well. She is a very easy keeper.
🛵 Vespa will cross whatever you come to water, bridges, deadfall, wildlife, and traffic. We have been through rocky terrain, had her around gunfire, tarps, city lights, and cattle, all of which she has handled very well. You cannot rattle her or stir her up. She is a seasoned pro.
🛵 Vespa has a true one hand neck rein, and is very light in the mouth. She backs up with ease.
She rides out alone just fine. Not at all buddy sour or herd soured. Not at all hyper. I can’t stress that enough. Other gaited I have been around seem to want to go all the time. That is not her. She will gait when told to then walk the rest of the time. You wouldn’t even know she was gaited till you speed her up. Yes she will lope too.
🛵 We have used her to check our cattle. Yes surprisingly she likes working cattle and being around them. We have took her on many mountain rides through all types of terrain. She is a seasoned real deal trail horse. We have let the kids ride her through town. Absolutely nothing fazes this girl. Not at all spooky or watchy. No bad habits at all. Absolutely no buck or silliness when riding her. We never have to warm her up or tune her up before we take her on a ride. Even if we have went 3-6 month without riding her. We can catch her fresh out on the pasture and go.
🛵 Vespa is a super easy keeper. Requires no maintenance of any kind. She can go bare foot or put shoes on her. You can stall her or turn her out. Doesn’t matter to her. She is easy.
